WHAT CAUSES OF HICCUPS?

• Hiccups occur for seemingly no reason. Other times, you may be able to pinpoint a cause, such as overeating and/or or acid reflux, taking a certain medication or even emotional stress or excitement.
                                
 • Hiccups are the results of an involuntary spasm of your diaphragm, which are muscle in your chest that plays a role in breathing.

• Most people find hiccups to be more annoying than useful. And, really, no one knows exactly why hiccups occur.

• Hiccups are actually an involuntary movement triggered partly by your autonomic nervous system and even a case of a 60-year-old man hiccupping virtually non-stop.

• They are most often the result of irritation to the vagus or phrenic nerves, which serve your diaphragm muscle. 

• It may occur individually, or they may occur in bouts. The rhythm of the hiccup, or the time between hiccups, tends to to be relatively constant.

• The reflex causes a strong contraction of the diaphragm followed about 0.25 second later by closure of the vocal cords, which results in the classic "hic" sound.

• In general, resolves itself without intervention, although many home remedies are often used to attempt to shorten the duration.Medical treatment is occasionally necessary in cases of chronic hiccups.

 • It affect women and men equally, although persistent hiccups occur much more commonly in men. They happens mainly in the evening.

                           
• Some basic causes of Hiccups:-
~eating too quickly
~eating or drinking too much
~diseases that irritate the nerves that ~control the diaphragm

• Prevented by avoiding overeating, eating too quickly, or drinking too much to help prevent hiccups.

• Some basic information to control Hiccups :-
✓Bite the lemon
✓Gargling with some water      
✓Smell some salts
✓Drink a glass of water quickly

CABBAGE ARE HARMFUL TO HEALTH?

WHAT IS CABBAGE? Cabbage is a leafy green, red, purple, white biennial plant grown as an annual vegetable crop. It is from Brassica oleracea family.
